WHAT IS YES?

YES Program — Youth Empowerment & Support

The YES Program is a youth-centered initiative of Ripple Effects Group designed to support the social, emotional, and overall wellbeing of students while helping them develop the skills they need to thrive in school, at home, and in their communities.

Serving students in kindergarten through seventh grade, YES provides consistent, relationship-based support that meets young people where they are. Through school partnerships, social-emotional learning (SEL), individual and group support, wellbeing check-ins, family engagement, advocacy, and connections to community resources, the program addresses barriers that can affect a student's ability to learn and succeed.

YES recognizes that academic success is connected to the whole child. Students may face challenges related to family circumstances, emotional wellbeing, behavior, attendance, peer relationships, food insecurity, housing instability, or other life experiences. Our team works alongside students, families, educators, and community partners to identify needs early and provide practical, compassionate support.

What YES Provides
  • Social-Emotional Learning (SEL): Age-appropriate activities that strengthen self-awareness, emotional regulation, communication, decision-making, confidence, and relationship skills.

  • Student Wellbeing Support: Individual check-ins and ongoing support for students experiencing academic, emotional, behavioral, family, or social challenges.

  • Advocacy & School Partnership: Collaboration with teachers, administrators, counselors, and families to help ensure students receive the support they need to succeed.

  • Family Engagement: Communication and partnership with parents and caregivers to strengthen the network of support surrounding each student.

  • Resource Connections: Referrals and connections to community resources addressing needs such as food, housing, healthcare, mental health services, transportation, and other essential supports.

  • Follow-Up & Care Coordination: Continued follow-up to help ensure identified needs are addressed and families are successfully connected to available resources.

Our Goal

The goal of YES is not simply to respond when a young person is struggling. We want to help students build the skills, relationships, resilience, and support systems they need to move forward with confidence.

Through YES, Ripple Effects Group creates a bridge between students, families, schools, and community resources—helping young people overcome barriers, recognize their potential, and experience new possibilities for their future.

Every young person deserves to be seen, supported, equipped, and empowered to say YES to a brighter future.
